I WAS DRIVING THE OTHER DAY AND I HAD IT IN FIRST(AUTOMATIC)HAD IT AT LIKE 4000 4RPMS AND LFT OFF THE GAS AND THEN PUNCHED IT AND IT MADE A LOUD POP NOISE AND I COULDNT GO ANYWHERE WHN I PUSHD THE GAS, THEN I PUT IN DRIVE AND IT STARTED WORKING....COUPLE OF HOURS LATER I WAS ON THE HWY AND THE RPMS DROPPED TO ZERO AND IT SLOWED ME DOWN AND THEN THE CAR SHUT OFF WHAT CAN IT BE...IT WILL TURN OVER BUT IT WONT CRANK I CHECKED THE FUEL LINE ITS GETTING GAS BUT ITS JUST NOT GETTING ANY FIRE TO THE SPARK PLUGS......

Come on guys stop raggin on him. Dude you have done one of two things: #1 like they said you might have a bad spark plug #2 which I think is correct You have blown your motor. That loud pop you heard was one of your pistons detnating. You should prob get a proffesional to look at it. One question though. Do you always drive your automatic like that(shifting like it's a five speed and all)? If so That's prob what caused it. Your car has an automatic ECU which is a whole lot different than a 5spd in many ways and your engine just could not handle it. That and maybe a lack of oil. When was the last time you changed it?Again I hate to be the one with the bad news but you may be in the market for a new motor soon!

i RECENTLY GOT AN OIL CHANGE I WILL CHECK THE SPARK PLUGS AND IF I HAVE TO GET AN ENGINE I GUESS I CAN FINALLY DO MY ENGINE/TRANNY SWAP.....(SUCKS...DIDNT WANT TO DO IT RIGHT NOW...) BUT THANKS..

ok figured out what was wrong with the car.....
Jumped timing bent valves messed up the pistons and i need to
replace the head.........YEEESSSS!!!

Thats why I love my toyota, if I jump time, you know what I do? Tow it to my shop, put a new timing belt on, turn key, and go drive....
