wtf happened

ok i had a broken tail light so i put a new one in. Later that day when i put my brakes on my brake lights dont work but my door and seatbelt sign on my cluster turn on. What happened???? my back up lights, blinkers, and taillight work with the lights on but no brake lights. i have a 1991 civic hatch.

not a bulb because both are fine fuse is fine. i got to messin with stuff and i dont here the usual clik whe ni push in the brake pedal so i went and boght a new brake switch.
