Are you trying to ask what's the first thign we remember, or the first thing that we know how to do coming out of the womb? It would make more sense to put the question in correct english.

Humans are the only animals born knowing that they will one day die.

Are you looking for one specific answer, or what?

gobraves00

yes, it is one specific answer. this question is gonna take awhile to answer probably.

What's the first thing a child knows? Knows by instinct or the first thing learned? I'd say the first thing known instinctively is either awareness of existence, or the need to breathe or swallow or something like that, or something deep like that. First thing learned would probably be something about who its mother is...

The first thing I knew when I read the O.P was that this thread is definitely fucking stupid and pointless.

The question is too vague to be able to answer correctly. Is it learned, instinct, action, or motion? You have to be more specific or atleast narrow it down to an area.

My guesses would be either your own name, to smile, to breast feed, to laugh, to see, to eat, to cry.....there's lot's of "firsts" you can choose from that could be right I imagine.

It is to vague

well i'm sure everyone above is right but you're not saying correct...

I took psychology a while back, and we were going over the Erikson stages or something, 5 stages of mental development from kid to like a puberty ass mofo to a adult. The first one was trust/mistrust... The kid determines who/what he can trust and what he cant... And the degree of trust within certain things. Ie: Mom takes my bottle away, FUCKKK or .... fuckk (she'll bring it back tho)

yeah I got an A in that class ;)
