The idea is to let you slow down before they can get you with another type of tracking system. I got a nice radar detector and got nailed with laser. It all of the sudden went crazy and I got nailed. If I had that I could have slowed down through the huge speed trap. Watch the video it explains it all in there champ.

I have the BlinderM20 and it WORKS. We tested it out with my friend's Laser Detector, PRO Laser III. Works couple times I got targetted on the highway too.
However, it doesn't save you from Radar, Visual, or pacing though :(
btw, it's legal in GA too :)

I noticed that you said it works a couple times, what percentage of it being able to "jam" the laser did it actually do its job?

it's not in 300's more like twice that for front and back jammers. I say even for $600 it's worth it.

Its the cops word against yours. Yes it sure can. Though with a lawyer it is much easier to get around if no speed is clocked.

I had Rocky Mountain Radar and it got confiscated by Colorado State Patrol. If you DO get a jammer, remember - after you jam them, the cops KNOW that you are jamming. Immediately slow down, and then turn it off (b/c they WILL target you again and again). I was followed for about 10 miles while watching 1 cop car grow to 3 cop cars. I still had the Rockty Mountain Radar on the whole time (although I was no longer speeding). They knew I was jamming them, then I got pulled over "for out of state plates" (yeah right). They ended up taking the box from me. They key is this - jam them, slow down, then turn it off. Let them clock your new speed (after slowing down) and they will simply think it was a prob w/ the gun. When you drive by a laser/radar gun at point blank range and they can't clock you, be prepared to be followed... and most people on this board will have more violations than just speeding to worry about once you get pulled over. Just a tip from some1 who has been down this road before.

No - all I had was the radar/laser jammer from Rocky Mountain Radar (it was illegal in Colorado). You can have just 1 box, but when it alerts you that you are being targeted (which means you are jamming), turn it off immediately once you slow down to the speed limit and let them clock you, unless you want to be followed for a few miles.

So does the jammer let you know that its jamming a signal?
I think it does, most of them do. I would just have both to be safe and just don't speed where they are illegal. I have driven through Virginia on 81 hundreds of times and I just stay at ten over. Anyone who has made that trip knows what I am talking about.

BabyJ hit it right on.
Yup, it'll jam the laser reading.
Slow down, then turn it off.
Cops will get a reading
You're good to go.
Btw, Extrememustang, Visual estimation is actually stronger than any other evidence. You can proven that they aren't properly trained to use the device, but if the cop said that "based on X amt of experience years in the force," then it's totally legal to use that against you. It'll hold its value even in higher courts. ;)

FYI - I never got a ticket for the 2 years I had RMR. (well, not one for speeding - lol) I chose not to try to get my box back from Colorado b/c it was illegal in the state anyway. Can't make a wrong right - I just ate $480 simply because I didn't turn it off after I slowed down.

pffft, speed limits on our interstates and highways are retardedly low compared to other countries. Hell, god bless texas for its 80mph speed limit on their interstates though its only good before sunset. Speeding doesn't kill, the idiot driving kills, and he can do it just as efficiently without going over the speed limit.

As Baby J said, ALWAY turn it off...it's too obvious when they can't get a reading after a few tries...some cars are more difficult than others to get a reading so they normally aim for a headlight or front license plate but if they can't get it at all it's too suspicious.

Here is the problem with it (and why you have to turn it off after you slow down). No matter if it is on the books or not, you are interfering with the duty of a Traffic Safety Official - doesn't HAVE to be on the books to be charged for it... not being on the books simply means that they can't confiscate the box in GA. Furthermore, suspension, exhaust, and most of the other mods are actually illegal. So if you try to show your ass by jamming them at point-blank range (like I did in Colorado) who CARES if they can't ticket you for speeding. By the time they do insurance, warrants, suspension, NOS, exhaust, etc you've had a pretty bad day. Even just being harrassed beside the road for 30 minutes w/ NO tickets is not worth showing off b/c you can't be clocked. Don't use the jammer to "get back" at cops - use it to slow down, and then turn it off and then go down the road and turn it back on. I will be getting another RMR this summer actually.

I have the M20 and it works. I've been shot at several times and had no issues.
Some things to clarify:
1. It does work. It's been proven by independent tests.
2. It costs $350 for the M20.
3. It will cost you a little more to have someone professionally install it.
4. Installation is crucial.
5. It has both visual and audio alerts letting you know when you're being clocked. There is a small LED, just like an alarm LED, that changes colors from green to red when you're clocked. There's also a super annoying piezo type shreeling buzzer that goes off too. It is super annoying.
6. There is also an on/off switch you can mount anywhere. It is recommended that you slow down, shut it off, and let them clock you AFTER you've slowed down.
7. It is totally legal in GA.
8. It only works on Lidar/Laser. A good RD is still necessary for any other type of police radar.
9. It goes off at every freaking red light camera intersection.....because the cameras use laser to track cars for infractions.
10. It works.
11. It is NOT made by Rocky Mountain. No offense to Baby J, but Rocky Mountain RD's and "Jammers" have been shown to be quite ineffective in a gazillion independent tests. The M20 Extreme does NOT guarantee to pay any tickets or anything like that. Rocky Mtn. does. There is a difference.
12. It works.
13. It works.
14. It's well worth the prize the very first time it saves your ass.
True story.
On the way to work, City of Lilburn Police put up one of those unmaned "you're going X mph" radar things that sits off the side of the road. I love it when I KNOW they're there and it's not police, to shoot by them to try and see some crazy ass number..... :D Anyway, it's been in the exact same location for over a week, about a mile from a school (my daughter's) and in the exit of a turn.
Well, guess what I saw today???? Lilburn Police had stationed themselves, one squad clocking one motorcycle to chase, about 1000 ft just BEYOND the unmaned and still working radar thing that's been there for a week. They were banking on you NOT slowing down since you got used to the UNMANED radar that they would nail your ass as you sped up out of the turns. My Valentine 1 told me there were 2 signals ahead, so I slowed down. I KNEW one, didn't know the other. As soon as I crested the hill just past the unmaned radar thing my laser jammer went nuts. I looked up and finally saw them off a side street clocking everybody. Had I not had the jammer AND the RD I'd been toast. Both saved my ass from an ugly ticket. It's a 45 mile zone right there too.
Anyway, true story. I whole heartedly believe and use both the RD and the M20. :goodjob:

Thanks, but I wouldn't go that far. ;)
They are doing their job. The way I look at it is that it is their job to catch me speeding and mine not to get caught. I will equip myself with the best stuff I can to do MY job, just like they will be tricky like they were the other day to do theirs. I have no ill will towards police. They are doing a job a lot of people wouldn't ever dare to do, so I have to give them props for that.
I think that if you get caught speeding....the bottomline is that it's really only one person's fault....your own. If after having a jammer, the best RD on the market, eyes, common sense, 20+ yrs driving experience, common sense, common sense, and more common sense I get caught.....it's damn sure MY fault and not the cop that was smarter than me to catch me. Don't you agree?
