hey guys, got a 99 accord 2.3 manual, wantin to make this thing as fast and reliable as possible, without a turbo(right now) heard about an h23euro type R i dont know what it is exactly, heard it is a beefed up h22. also the k20 is out what about that, let me know if you know anything

most 99 hondas come with a 3.0 v tech, and since i can fit a 6 in the cradle, would it be better to throw a h 23, K20 or a 3.0 v tech and switch it to manual. i got money just trying to find out what i should do, any info helps.:goodjob::goodjob::goodjob:

H22/H23 vtec is cheaper, plus with the money you save, you can spend it in the motor

the motor h23vtec came out of a cf4 wagon in japan. second if the was 4cyl stay 4cyl the front end of a 4cyl and a 6cyl are completely different, everything is on the opposite side. third put and h22 or boost the stock motor. if you need more info check out hondasociety in the 6th gen section, there are quite a few people who have boosted the stock motor and have reliability.

I say do an f20b and turbo that. the cylinder wall castings are much more viable for a turbo setup than the cast iron sleeves of the h22.

FYI the f20b is externally the same as an h22, It will bolt in just the same. But it has a better intake manifold and sounds cool.

i always wanted an F series turbo....

H22 swap is your best bet for the money, with the money you saved, get cams, header, exhaust, type-s intake manifold and a nice clutch and flywheel for a great car.
