Yes too big for the room you have it in. Just my opinion....I like my set up. INfocus IN24 digital projector on a 110" screen mounted to the wall of my theater. Plus the projector and the screen only cost me about $600 together and I don't have a bulky ass obsticle to avoid.

Good tv other than the small room you have it in, judging by the pic. But hey you like it, and thats wll that matters.

Got a 42" DLP myself, although I must say if I buy another it will most definitely be an LCD. Had too many issues with the DLP.. "It's all in the mirrors" my ass. I work at CCity and I've noticed the DLP's are more inexpensive, but the more I have my DLP the more I realize there is a reason for the price difference in DLP and LCD.

For the money though you got a great T.V. Nice surround set up too.

I worked for CC and BB too and DLP are going to cost more than LCD because one they look better on picture than a LCD. only thing you have to watch out for is don't put the tv on its side cause of the mirrors and 2 you have to replace the bulb about every year and a half but its like 200 dollars and you can do your self unless you bought a warranty. I have a 61" DLP HDTV 1080p from samsung as well as a 50" HDTV 1080p from them I love them for the price but in my computer room its 2 32" HDTV 1080p LCD from Olevia that I use as PC mointors. Now as for your Tv you bought I would get a Stand for it right away also why so big? unless you plan on moving out and getting into a place that can support the Tv of that size. If not then you wasted your money. When you sit to close to a big tv you see all the pixels and it looks horrible. but then again you like I love it

Over all Great choice in brand and Tv YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY :goodjob:

the reason its soo big is because i am moving into the basement and right now it is all hell with storage shit. I am/have been boxing up shit and getting it out so i can move there. the room i will be moving into is about 4 times larger so the tv will be more proportioned in the new room.

yeah i do work at an electronics store. like i said tho

if comparing the 06 models. the samsung is prolly the second best projection set out there.

but with the 07 models the new toshiba's are amazing. also have the new LED samsung set out there and man o man they are horrible. The old ones looked better. Also every led set's screen i've seen has swirls in it

but the one you have doesnt look to be the LED one so like i said ya good tv.

r u going to ceiling mount that projector?

More than likely....I am going to have it suspended by some sort of custom box to look like it is actually part of the ceiling. Good thing about this theater is...I used a drop ceiling. This way I can just remove the panels to run the wires and not have a crap load exposed everywhere. I also installed a power outlet abouve the ceiling just for the projector.

The projector I have is awesome....HDMI Ready, and capable of 760p, 760i 1080p, and 1080i.....I can not wait til the screen is finished and the carpet.

Oh Super Bowl party at my house !!!

sounds nice man. is it capable of a 1080 signal or does it actually produce a 1080 resolution? been thinking alot about a similar setup in my basement.

It will reproduce what ever signal is Input to it. So if you have a crap ass beta...guess what, if you have a 1080 signal Ta-Da...Crystal Clear.

Now I can start buying all the cool IMAX DVDs (Such as the Blue Angles, and Living Sea). But most of all I can not wait to play some Need For Speed, GT4 or any of my games for that matter....I am an older guy so I am not keeping up with all the new hotness, but I am gonna Kick Master Chiefs ass on HALO, since he will be damn near as big as me.

But now I am going to get the steering wheel controler for my Xbox or PS2 and play all my racing games on the in car view.

Can not wait...I will post pics when complete.

OK here are some pics of the finished theater. Just look back to page 2 to see the before pics. Enjoy !!!
This pic is just for referrence to the size of the screen, and there was way too much light to do the pic justice. But believe me...this thing is the shit.

This is a better pic to show everything, all I need now is some furniture. But all in all this is by far the best money I have spent.
