Night Shots - First Time

Just messing around trying some night shots. The sky shots were from my back yard. With everyone else trying night shots, I figured I would give it a go. Tell me what you think.

Im no guru, but from a laymans eye, I really like the top pics. I think the bottom 2 need some more light however.

If I recall what George said to me once, I think if you set the shutter speed longer it will allow for more light and hence make a better night shot as things will be more visible.
