Ok I have a 98 civic d16 106hp. No need to mod this slow poke. My question is that its time for a tuneup and I can get a intake for close to the same price as a new air filter so is it REALLY worth it?

Of course. Why not? If not for the power get it for the positive affect it will have on the gas mileage.

Yeah I agree, if you can get an intake for the same price of a stock filter than why not .. but stock air filters only cost like $10

Ok is getting a AEM intake worth more then a regualr ebay intake? I see a HUGH price difference, and Im not just talking about a civic, I mean other cars as well.

AEM intakes are no better than eBay intakes.
It's still a 3" polished pipe, just with a nice sticker on it.
