From back in 1987. I have always been a fan of the Porsche car. Ever since 1984, I had been hooked. I had subscription to a magazine called, "Excellence," which a Porsche-only magazine for several years. I started collecting all the die cast cars I could find. Here is the only pic I have of some of that collection. This pic is about older than half the people on this site, lolol. I was 17. Later, QD.

Excellence is a fucking great magazine. I should get a subscription rather than going to a bookstore to buy it every time

Damn! Thats quite a Porsche collection. I found a 959 car the other day.:D I really like your 964 Turbo. Good Stuff and EXCELLENCE is the shit. I think the reason I am "into" cars now is b.c of Porsche. "There is no substitute.":goodjob: :goodjob:

well if you grew up in ca then moved to ga before the pics your tattoos make sense a lot more than a guy who grew up in ga.

For one thing, this thread is about my Porsche collection back in the day and not where I'm from or where I grew up and for another; I could care less what sense you think my tattoos make. Wherever or whenever I got them. Later, QD.

this collection reminds me off yellowmp37's (kevins) collection. hahah the guys 21 and yet he still goes out and buys ferrari die-cast models. i used to collect VW die-cast, the old school vw's bugs, fast-backs, karma-ghia's etc. i wish i still had those die-casts but over time i lost every single one, sucks.

over time i lost every single one, sucks.

Same here and having a son that enjoys them and I wasn't worried about them being played with. Sucks. Later, QD.

are they brand hot wheels???

quickdodge®

I can't tell you how many different brands there were. I do know that Hot Wheels, Matchbox were represented. There are all kinds of companies as big as Hot Wheels in Europe that make more of these than you ever see here. Most of my Porsches were of those companies. Later, QD.

Yeah I've been into porsches.

I guess growing up in europe has something to do with it. My friends dad had two so I always got to see them.

Where I work now the guy across the street is the factory porsche tuner. He has some bad ass cars there.

I'm goign to have to take the digi camera and get some. He is working on a dentist car right now 600+ hp just to drive back and forth to buckhead.

When i was younger I did model cars. The best one I did was a 1/12th scale rsr porsche. It was orange. I bought a few of those kits.
