Well a few members of the local Lotus club went to the mountains for some spirited driving this past Sunday. Was a lot of fun. I even let Joe (Sniperjoe) ride along. Here are a few pics. :D

Not the biggest fan of the Espirit, but man I tell you... everytime I see these cars seriously makes me want to get a turbo Elise.

I think I'd seriously be looking into one if I hadn't just dropped such a huge chunk of change on the Z06 in parts and such. The Z06 can be modded to easily hang with a Lotus, so since I think that'll be my next step as I want to run this car on a road course.

I LOVE YOUR CAR!!!

I was thinking road course. This will be timed, right? Oh well, even if it isn't timed, let us know how she handled under heavy breaking & fast cornering. From what I've seen & heard, your car should be great on a road course.

Kudos to Rich for driving well. He did quite well for someone who had never driven the roads before, much less in a Lotus. It was fun, but the next time I'm up there, it'll be in my own car.

Damn it Rich, I specifically went out of my way to NOT mention that incident and look what you went ahead and did. We both know what happens when you mention it.

:D

[Backstory for everyone: Rich and I were chasing the lead Lotus down Alternate 75 into Helen, which has a lot of banking and a lot of undulating curves. The curves would crest right at the apex, leaving the car more vulnerable for the suspension to come unloaded and air to come underneath the car, causing instability (Which in the wrong car, can lead to stuff like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rop4EiRH6W4)). Anyway, as we were driving through those corners, I said "Rich, let's try not to go sideways today." He responded, "We will NOT be going sideways." Not half a second later, we hit the crest on a curve and start going sideways. :D

No big deal, Rich corrected and we continued on our merry way. The Lotus just ate it up and kept on asking for more. According to Rich, if we were in the MR2, we'd have been in trouble. ]
