I have a 93 hatch with a zc sohc vtec. It has a air fuel gauge(autometer} that has been showing when i get on it, rich and when the vtec kicks it poors smoke but i let off the gauge goes back down. The problem im having is nows it goes to about half way and just sits there when im going instead of back and forth and when i stop it goes down but then back up to half when idling. I got on it today and there was a lot more smoke then normal. I know the car has a 255 fuel pump and msd. Also has p28 ecu, dont know if its been chipped. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to make it stop smoking and get the air/fuel right.

first off you are going to want to get rid of the autometer a/f gauge and get a wideband you can get one for anywhere from $250 - $300

is the smoke black? mine done that when i first swaped my turbo b16 for a N/A gsr. i have a adjustable fuel regulator and had a 255 fuel pump. i turned the fuel pressure down and put a stock fuel pump in and mine is fine. i dont have a black bumper anymore lol.

if its black smoke, then that means you're running rich with that 255. you dont need that for a single cam from the beginning. as for the autometer AF, its just a light show for them boring days driving.

Cool thanks. The smoke is black and the back of my car also. I guess ill look for a stock fuel pump then.
