Well...no more GTO, at least until I can find another at a good price, which is unlikely. I wouldn't have been able to make it over to the dealership until Saturday, and the place wouldn't answer or return any of the four phone-calls I made to them. I figured that I'd be able to get it by Saturday, but some lucky motherfucker got his hands on it yesterday before I could. Congrats to him...but I'm pretty angry. It's going to be hard as shit to find another decent GTO in this area.

Yea well...I guess I'll just have to keep looking.
The one I found was $23,000...and for the miles and condition it was in, that was an excellent price.
Ah, I only had four more days!

There's an '04 at Carmax with 11k miles for $21,000.

Ah, +1 to you Six2Six. I was looking at LS2 GTOs though.
The biggest bother to me was this though. I had found a GTO configured perfectly...black with a red interior and a six-speed. The fact that it was in Georgia just made that a miracle. I just can't believe that I've been watching it for three weeks, and only four days before I'm able to pick it up, someone else gets it. Oh well, good for them.
What I'm really mad about is that they didn't answer my calls.

GTOs do seem to sell pretty quickly. I remember seeing one at Lou Sobh in Lithia Springs one weekend and later on that week it was gone.

Fuck them bro. Great things come to those who wait patiently. I am no where near patient, I can't wait for my car to be done, thats why, when its done, it's still going to be a Honda. Far from great.

I find that really funny though. They weren't successful at all when they were actually on the market. Now they've been yanked, everyone seems to want one. I guess people like what they can't have.
Sorry to hear it sold. Another one will definitely come along.
Here is my personal advice... Don't rush this decision.
You will probably have this car for a long time. So don't make sacrifices... get exactly what you want. If you want black, dont settle for blue or another color that comes along, get black. If you want the 05 not the 04, get the 05. Do this and you will have no regrets.
My car is a prime example of sacrifices. I wanted an 02+(i got an 01), I wanted a silver or black car(I got a red one), I wanted the 17 inch oem wheels(i have 15's). I am in the process of selling the car to get the exact GTI I want, manual, black, leather, 02+, everything. So don't make the same mistake I did.

Haha, that's why I'm so bugged over this whole situation. I found the PERFECT GTO, in Georgia at that. The only think I didn't like were the chrome polished stock wheels, but I planned on changing those anyway after those tires wore out.
Unfortunately, my pickiness is also complicating my search further. The search is still on...it just got a lot more difficult. At least I have the rest of summer to worry about it.

True, but their lack of success is a good thing. It makes them affordable. I doubt they'll become collector cars because of the continued existance of the Monaro. All that adds up to Corvette performance for 20k.

I'm FULLY aware of that...haha. Excellent cars. Simple styling, top-notch interior, beast of an engine, and a great ride/handling balance.

ADM for the win!
Seriously, way more than I'm willing to pay...and if we go to imports, I'd rather go for an old TVR Cerbera.

hey man! that really sucks to hear that it didnt work out for you... but look at it this way, everything happens for a reason.... maybe if you would've gotten that one, 3 days later you break something... i mean, it WAS at the dealership for a few weeks, right? like kyle said, just be patient and you'll get the perfect car... hell, i waited a little over a YEAR for mine! :goodjob: good luck as your search continues!

I heard about that too...I thought the plans were stopped though. TVR is in big trouble I think.
I want a first-gen Cerbera, a Typhon, and a Sagaris. Any of those...

Yeah thats ideal, I hope distance isnt stopping you. I was actually working on trading my car with a guy in Texas. I know other people who have driven 500-1000 miles to get the exact car they want, and they are very happy they did. GL with your search man.

Well, distance won't be as much of a problem. I'm heading up to Indiana in a couple weeks for my cousin's graduation from Purdue.
I'm sure I'll find something between here and there...I mean at least I have that extra room.

No worries...good for whoever bought that one. I just found another, basically EXACTLY like it. 2005 Black/Red, 6 spd, chrome polished stock wheels (gross, but livable).
Are you on the road trip yet?
I'm back. Trying to pick up that one in Kentucky would have been too much of a hassle. It was in Owensboro though...Johnny Depp's birthplace. I thought that was kinda cool.
You looking for the Lou Sobh dealership?
I'm actually only looking at used ones. This is at Heritage Volkswagen, and I've found out where it is...roughly 45 mins to an hour from where I live.

Good lookin' out, though I'm worried that red may attract too much unwanted attention (:police:). PM me though...I'd like to get a bit of info.
