GS-T (FWD)

Just in case anyone needs this told to them. THE CAR IS NOT DRIVABLE IN THIS CONDITION. I MEAN, I GUESS YOU COULD DRIVE IT LIKE THIS, HAVE FUN WITH THAT.

Located in CECIL, GA. Its exit 32 off I75 (like 3 mins from SGMP).

Last week I picked up a block bored .40 over with balanced crank, stock rods, brand new 2G pistons bored .40 over. All it needs is the rods machined to the pistons. I will include this with the sale, and I also have a box full of extra parts for the DSM. I learned today that I'm in deep w/ my bank, so all reasonable offers will be considered.

red w/ black roof, it has one dent in the front pass. fender, interior is almost prefect cleanest dsm interior around prolly, no rips tears nothing,
autometer boost gauge,
ICE COLD a/c!!!
3in GM MAF with translator 2.0x,

""------>Motor does have a knock in the block<-----""
Once the engine started knocking the car was parked, and has'nt been cranked or moved since

I'm asking $2000 obo. Someone offer me something and I'm sure we can work it out. Thanks for looking!

I'm gonna get the exact miles tomorrow, I wasn't being a dick. The car is parked 300 yds from my house, and its dark, and I just got out of the shower. I'll do it tomorrow.

tread?, windsheild wiper fluid?(tank and lines are missing) and do you have any papers for it(timing belt water pump etc.)

SKarpenz

Tread is great, 90% at least. wiper shit is gone, all the work was done by my friend when he replaced the head. Then the knock came up.

Turbo supposedly as a ported compressor housing.

mine started to knock and then died a few days after. . . . you should get that replaced before you sell it.
You said it had a remanufactured head? do you have the papers or is it just a personal rebuild?

Also did you replace the clutch fork and extension rod when you did the clutch?(2600's are notorious for bending forks, and you are supposed to get a different extention rod for the slave cylinder because the stock one is too short for the ACT.)

The car was parked right after the knock started. I bought it from him and trailered it here to my place. It just sits. The head was purchased from Clearwater Cylinder Heads I think, but I do not have the papers on it. As far as the clutch, I didn't do that work, so I'm not sure what all was replaced. I know you pretty much need the extended rod for the 2600, but I'm not sure if this has it or not. I will talk to him this week one day and get some details on that.

cool also ask him if it is the stock flywheel too. im interested in the car but i dont want another damn dsm in my driveway that doesnt run(hard to do but well see)

SKarpenz
05-01-2007, 08:15 PM
Haha, I hear ya man. I haven't started it since he shut it off. I don't know if it will start, I don't want to find out, maybe the crank is salvagable? I dunno. But I know it has the stock flywheel, it was resurfaced when he did the clutch. I'll find out on the rod and fork.

I thought I would work on it, but I just want another honda or another muscle car. Like I said, I'll consider trades too. Maybe something interesting?

Man I know. I just don't have the drive right now w/ school and work all the damn time. I don't have time for myself anymore. The shit thing about it is that I go to school working on cars, then at work I talk about cars. By the time I get home, I just want to shoot guns or something, haha. Someone buy this and give it a good home. Or give me a block to swap into this car so I can drive it for minimal work, haha.

Since your a mechanic, take out the block and see what's wrong w/ it. Those are nice cars, just fix it.

SKarpenz
05-02-2007, 06:28 PM
Well I know whats wrong with it, the rod bearings are gone, I'm just not sure on the extent of the damage. I'm working on two other cars for other people right now and I honestly don't have to dick with it, or I would pull it apart. I wish someone would just buy the WHEELS so I would have some money to fix it with.

Just got off the phone with two guys in FLA. The guy who used to own the car said the stock clutch fork was used. He also said that he only drove it for maybe 3 mins after the knock started, into a parking lot. None of te gears grind or anything.

The other friend said that he hasa complete 6-bolt short block with brand new rods and 2G pistons, all it needs is for the rods to be machined for the pistons. Everything is brand new with bearings and rings. - $350 Damn, I wish SOMEONE WOULD BUY MY WHEELS.
