Well this past weekend my and DaKilla4Eva (Davis) painted my wheels, im pretty surprised on how the came out.The wheels actually turned out a lot better then i thought they would. We started painting these wheels on this past sunday at about 3PM and finished at about 11:30PM. Let me know what ya'll think.:goodjob:
Steps I took to paint the wheels.
First i wet sanded the entire rim with 220 Grit. After that i taped off wheel, then used a High Build Primer (Really good for sanding & you only need 1 coat), then i wet sanded the primered wheels with 400 Grit to get it nice and smooth. Then used Dupli Color wheel paint. First 2 coats were applyed lightly!!! last 2 were applyed thick.
Make sure u follow the drying instructions on the back of the paint and primer cans, for best results.
The wheels have a few scratchs around the lugs from putting them back on the car but those will be fixed this weekened. Actually thinking about leaving the off, but not sure.
Before: Pics of me and some friends, before i was dropped and painted the wheels.
