Good to see some old faces along with some new.

I met LEAVINU, very nice guy and that C6 is gorgeous. Sounds awesome.

I even met Marcin, but we didn't get to run because he had clutch issues. His car is freakin loud.

I'm going to get some of these issues fixed and hopefully be ready for the Fall Showdown.

Good meeting you too Tiger.

That was by far the best IS turnout I've seen yet. The competition is getting stronger and stronger every year in every class.

very very true, its a shame i have nothing fast to fuck around in.

btw... phill... im going to have to say you have by far the most consistent bad ass launches i've ever personally witnessed with an evo.

^ True, Phil's lauches are off the chizzain!!

I had lots of fun also even though I didn't do any racing on Sunday, I beat it up too bad on Saturday & lil Panda just couldn't handle it anymore :(

I finally broke into 13s though!! (13.4 @ 108.94)

I hate that I couldn't get in the competition, but it was nice seeing guys anyway. I don't think I would have been much of a threat with my 2.2 - 2.3+ 60's ugh

Hey Youngn, your car seemed like it was running pretty stout yesterday. My friends and I were all impressed with your times. That's fast as hell for all motor.

Anyway, good times....I enjoyed racing, and even enjoyed sitting in the stands and watching the "actual" fast cars go at it.

It was nice seeing some of you again... The track was only hooking for about 2 - 3 hours . I was able to squeeseee a 12 of it before it got slick again.. I think commerce has a LOT more traction...All in all it was fun!! Ill be at the next one....

O and ALL my runs were on street tires..

I don't think I can wait for the next Import Showdown (Sept 29) to race at Silver Dollar again, perhaps we should setup a weekend track day in between?

Silver dollar=no traction:cry:

I dunno what you folks are talking 'bout... seemed like the track was prepped pretty decent to me... I was able to cut 1.62's all day, consistantly... on cheapo street tires.

dead hook for some cars is a good thing for others its a killer. Therefor the guys with honda's with b series run better times with wheel spin to get into their powerband while people with alot of low end tourque like jeremy's H22 need traction to run better times. Just my opinion on tracks. I personally don't like a sticky track because i have no torque and it would take me 1.5 days to make any power with a dead hook

Holy crap, I don't know how you guys do that...especially on street tires.

I think my best was a 2.15 60', and nearly all of them were over 2.2 (had a few 2.3+'s)

Steele hooks really well on Sundays TNT...SDR...iffy normally unless its for an event. With so many street tired cars, hard for any track to hook.

its a close 2nd but carolina has the best track coverd hands down:goodjob: look up the orsca records and see the list of tracks, that will say it all.

Yea Commerce is a LOT better track... are you joking? when running the teg (when i had her) i was running 15.5's to 15.6's consistantly at commerce, where at sdr i got her down to a 15.1 consistantly....

same with the lady's 350z... i could shave off about a half a second at sdr than what i could run at commerce....

i'll have to just wait and take the goat down to both tracks and see if the results are any different.... but i dont think they will be...

I was spinning like a disco ball and cutting 1.62-1.66's all day also.

I had to lower my 2-step settings to cut those times... if I had some nice drag radials, I'd be back at launching at 24psi+ instead of ~14psi, lol. Do you like those BFG KD's? Would you recommend 'em?

2.3 Evo 8
05-03-2007, 04:08 AM
^^Yes, I like them. I would recommend them. You just have to play with the tire pressure when your at the track. Next time I'll probably start at 22 psi and work my way down.

How the fuck did you do that picture in your sig? Looks tits!

I would have to say Bristol then Rockingham when it comes down to dragstrips in the SouthEast. Steele isn't that great to me especially when you consider the dip in the right lane that's straight up obvious and the hellatious return road. That return road is worse than driving on NY city streets.

Oh and props to the kid w/ the red 07 or 06 Mustang w/ the blk wheels w/ red lip. DAMN HIS GIRL WAS FINE!!! I've seen him post in the kills forum(he's got a pic of the car in his sig).

Props to you buddy, I had to hold myself back from telling her how fine she was and I'm not that kind of person to look at someone else's girl if the dude's around.
