Alright, I'll make this short and sweet.

I don't know a whole lot about cars.
As much as I love driving my dad's Legacy around, I need a ride of my own.
I'm heading to college soon.

So here's what I'm looking for:

-Something reliable.
-Something that looks cool.
-Something that they make a good deal of parts for, I like to tinker.
-Something that hasn't been so modded that it looks like a robot.
-Something that someone like me, who doesn't know much of anything, could work on without having to go to college for another 10 years.
-Something with a lot of trunk space: I'm a musician, I need to haul amps around.
-Something that, preferably, is not yellow, or at least not so yellow it makes my eyes bleed.

My maximum is $4000.

Anyone?
Weird request, I know :goodjob:

Thanks!
-Xan

I have a Nissan NX2000, Charcoal color, runs great, hatchback with tons of room (I'e hauled a 4x12 half stack in it before. Its based on the B13 Nissan chassis, so practically any Sentra parts interchange on it, and its got Ttops, not to mention, SR20, ha

"SR20" may mean nothing to him being that he said he doesn't know much about cars. This could be a good bet though.

They must be decieving though...I mean they look tiny. They have that much room in there?

NX2000 (http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117093) Link for you anyway...:goodjob:
It's a cool little car.

I think a Nissan 240SX Fastback would be a great vehicle too. Looks good, holds up well, and the hatchback gives it a good amount of space. You'll find tons of those here. Same goes for Acura Integras and the Honda Prelude, though I think you'll find the 1992 - 1996 models more versatile and spacious, being that they were hatchbacks. The Honda Civic hatchback is another winner, I just don't like how they look save for the 1992 - 1995 models. I don't know what you consider stylish though. But, they're Hondas...they'll last forever.

Check the "Vehicles for Sale" section for those...you'll find plenty.

Get a Honda. They're easy to work on, and there's a plethora of part and advice and availability for them...

This post has made my day.
In my years of ricing and racing (mostly ricing), I've seen plenty of cars that looks like a robot and seen enough of those colors that I would take bright neon yellow to be reasonable.

As far as cars tinkering around, I'd highly recommend hondas. I would start from one of those nice 5th gen accords 94-97. They are like tanks.
