im there. trying to go both days. i live so close i hear the races on the weekends. dont you just love waking up to the sound of roaring engines at 8 o' clock on a saturday morning. the best one was the 2005 event against hubinette and aono with those 8 vicous runs. now they have the limited 4 runs because of the 86's overheat =[ they take the fun out of everything

spectators are alowed in at 10 but the drifting doesn't start until 3...as I understand it.

they did tandem twice today, only qualifying runs were sinle.

oh btw Bill Sherman (drove the XAT Bandit last year, enjuku driver this year) was absolutely KILLING IT today. Every run was huge! Hampsha was running really hard too.

I didn't get a chance to make it down to the pits today. That blows though, b/c i was looking forward to seeing the porsche.

I thought the corolla with "RETAKS" on the side actually said V-TAK at first, then i got a better look. lolol

i was saying "The Vetak Corolla seems to be doing good." Everytime I mentioned that car I said Vetak. My friends were getting pissed cause they didnt know the joke lirl. I got a pic with Dai. I met them all practically. I went picture happy with every car in the pits and ran out of room and battery to only get a couple runs. I got a tire from teh Vetak Corolla and got it signed by Dai. Forsburg (sp?) killed it. I got a good shot of Dai hitting the s14. By the way, I was sitting right at the exit of the Horseshoe, and what a great angle for pictures. You see every corner in perfect view. I will have pics and videos up soon.


Edit: Sherman should have beaten Millen. Hands down. When he went almost sideways on that exit, I flipped. Millen was practically straight on the same line too.

My day was pretty terrible. On the drive there I hit a flying trashcan that fell off the back of a truck at 85mph. Fifteen minutes after we arrived at the track, our cooler with beer and lunch in it got jacked. Then to top it off, my kid pissed his pants. I got to see maybe an hour of drifting.

You seem like a big Yoshi fan like I am. He gave my buddy and I a set of tires off of the Rockstar and signed them for us. Very cool guy. I was thrilled that I got to meet him.
