I found the scan pic of my SCCA plaque. Now, before you go on a "rice" tangent, remember, my car was actually raced. On a closed road course. Not cruising down Buford Hwy, Barrett Pkwy or 19/41 in Jonesboro. The stickers were of helpful partners of mine, including a tire shop(free tires every three months) putting Kumho's on my car and using only K&N products for oil changes and filters and I had to run a NOPI sticker because they were an SCCA sponsor. Only thing I had on the car that I didn't have installed was the Eibach sticker. I got the springs but never put them on. I also got very nice discounts a a local Dodge dealership. The clear taillights were the first ones for a Neon shipped out to the Southeast and the tire shop got them to put on my car also. Lolol. Oh well. Here you go. Later, QD.

Sweet shit QD. For a neon..i guess lol. My buddy has a boosted neon back home. Has no problem running with the new GTO's in the 1/8th but they get him by a few cars in the 1/4.

I'm curious though. What made you decide to go for a neon? I've driven several stock ones, and to be honest, they're complete turds. What all did you have done?

Nothing much. It was N/A. Tha Tube intake, Catco Hi-Flo cat. converter, Flowmaster Camaro exhaust, Accel Coil pack and plugwires, front/rear upper strut braces, front lower brace, removed all AC/PS components, relocated battery for placement of intake and downsized battery to a lawnmower battery. Like I said, nothing much.

I wasn't looking for a Neon when I got mine. I was just wanting a car. My choices were either a 91 Camry or a 96 Neon. This being 1998, I opted for the newer car. I took it home that day and lowered it and fabricated the intake and from there I went. Saw how well it responded to minor mods.

Cool cool. Good reasoning for sure. What did you use to fabricate the intake? I dont have any access to any machines, so I was highly considering some black PVC pipe to make my own intake. Just something different than what you see daily.

You answered your own question. The TB on the Neon opens upward, so I got 2 90 degree elbows to turn it facing straight down and then about a foot and a half(I think) of straight and used plumber's putty to keep it all together. I put a K&N cone filter on the end with rubber coupling and hose belts. The filter was only about an inch off the ground but, luckily, I never had any problems with water. And for the people who said that you can't use PVC for an intake, bullshit, lolol. I used the same system from 1998-2007 while amassing 200,000+ miles on the car. Later, QD.

People have made fun of my PVC idea but none have told me it wouldn't work. Hell I even told my dad to try it on his Sonoma! lol And he's going to.

I just want to do something different and unique. Granted I know you just finished stating you've done it lol. Its still not something you see daily.

Eventually I'll give a go at it. Probably something stupid and crazy will come of it, but it'll be fun to do it n/eways to see what I can come up with.
