It's just like any type of generalization. It's so uncalled for. I mean it's a race track for crying out loud. That's what it's there for. I mean I kind of understand about people drifting up and down the streets and stuff. That's def something to be pissed about. It's no reason to ban a sport all together. If the police rounded up there for the next couple of events or if the facility contractually made the host of the event hire some police officers, the problem could be solved.

Apparently Alameda County does not realize that since they are banning drifting and the ability to drift at a track, where it is a controlled environment with safety equipment readily available, where do you think the people will go ?

These people seem about as a smart as a box of rocks.

Its the same concept as drag racing. Whether theres a track for it or not, people are still going to do it illegally. So why take away from the people that actually take it serious and do it the right way?

Skateboarding is the same way. The best stairs/rails are illegal...:ninja:

That's bullshit.. and they make points... if it's banned, it's still gonna be done, just under more dangerous conditions and with less safety requirements.

even though im not much of a drifter myself i think its pretty cool and i love to watch it, this is bs though, of all the drifters that i know they dont bring "drugs" and "alcohol" and "gang affiliated stuff" too the sport...there just looking for a reason to try to take our fun away :/

I was thinking. There is a Kroger right by my house. Bums hang out by it all the time. Ask everyone for money everytime they come out. Cars get broken into in the lot. People sell crack right by there. Surely, if we shut the Kroger down and that will solve the problem. Who cares if some of the poeple who go there are actually there to shop?

now that i that i read the entire story, i do see how it happened. the plaintiff had a stronger case, and looks like the biased evidence didnt help either. a lot of the problem is not just from drifting, but errors the track itself made. so why punish just a strict motorsport of the track? i seriously doubt the track owner throws whoever is hosting the drift event and says "have fun" this is total baloney homey.

Thats the Dominic Toretto in you talking. We are trying to get out of the Fast and Furious image, thats why we are in this predicament in the first place. :goodjob:

lol, i just mean the people that piss and moan. kinda like the neighbor that always calls the cops because she thinks your car is too loud, or the neighbor that always screams at you to slow down when you arent even exceeding the speed limit in the first place.

although it really was one person that banned drifting at that track... 57 acres and you build your house 120 feet from track property?!??!?! and you ride moto-x and you bitch about a few imports, but allow the 10293949 times louder domestic cars to run? :dunno:

EDIT: and for the record... i hate that fucking movie and what its done to the import scene... /rant

if they ever ban that here i'll flip. i'll go slide past the local police station whilst showing them my love with the middle finger
