^^^ very true. i dont know how long b18 has had his car for... but if mikes car is ready for showdown, it will probably be his first time at the track. mike has also been a honda man for a long time, so adjusting to a rwd car that makes more than 2-3 times his crx... its not gonna be an easy transition.

not making excuses up for mike, but having to learn a car and be able to race it to its best ability isn't something that can be done overnight.

but if you were to compare equal drivers with those 2 motors... and considering the vehicles they will be in... my money would naturally go with the 2jz. ;)

Lag? With a launch control its not a big deal even in FWD. The wheelspin and axle hop when boost hits is what gets you.

theres pros an cons to both cars.

I suspect danny has more HP than i do due to his much larger turbo. so his top end will be pulling pretty good.

My strategy is to try an get as many cars as i can in the 1/8th to hold him off on the top end. RWD i theoretically have a better shot at hooking than a FWD. but , with him running slicks, he shouldnt have any problem.

Danny prolly wont have turbo lag because hell be launching at 15 psi of boost due to anti lag if hes using it in the s300 if he kept it. Antilag = no turbolag unless danny shifts slower than a turtle.

the 1/8th mile never determines the win or loss in sport compact. It usually does in domestic races.

I got a call at 7am from some reliable sources that danny was going but not bringing his car due to ignition problems.

We stayed up all night, at 10am Sunday morning me, dave, rob got the beast to FINALLY fire up, but it wasnt worth it to make the trip.

Ill talk to danny tomrrow an see if he wants to call it a draw until FACEOFF.
