tranny swap

my girls mk3 2.0L auto tranny has final seen the last of her beatings! I have a 1.8L 8V auto tranny from my mk2 jetta when i swapped in the vr6.
My question is, Will everything work?? Wasn't sure and didn't want to dive into it without asking. It just needs to get her back and forth, nothing major...

yes/no i believe most 8v are the same will work, there are some differences if i'm not mistaken w/ the clutch & accessories

so just use the stuff off the 2L on the 1.8?...

i used a 1.8l tranny in my aba setup on the cabby, but i'm tryin to remember we had to change... i think the pressue plate had to come from the 2l :thinking:

I'm running an older tranny as well... there was afew changes... but it worked

there was lil bit of playing with it but it will work... and u will need some new parts
