She's nearly running and will be off to the Dyno soon to see exactly what she's making. The total specs and parts list will be up on our website soon.

Thanks all. The car certainly turned out looking pretty good. We'll have to see what kind of power she makes soon but 300whp is all I'm looking for and its easily capable of that with the parts on her. The engine bay is one area I spent a lot of time since I don't like to see wires so most of the harness is hidden. It will be out at many of the Atlanta shows so everyone can get a chance to see it. It will definately be at Tuner Fest, might even make some runs in it just to see what it runs. It should certainly surprise some people to see that one driving past them. The Do-Luck widebody is so subtle many people don't even realize its there. The fact that its molded all the way around except for the front bumper helps to hide much of the body work. We even molded the door jams so there isn't even any lines where the sheet metal meets in the door jam.

I personally like the wheels, the fit the car well and barely fit the front rotors.

We were going to go with Volk GT'V's but I wanted the car done before they'd get here. We may end up with them but Cindy likes the wheels that are on it now and its her car so she has the final say on that. The color is actually the original base color with a slightly different mix of pearls. You can't really see them in the pics but its pretty nice in person. Since this car is going to be driven alot I didn't want to get crazy with the offsets and the wheels and possible scrub. There is a good bit of money in molding all that stuff and I'm not going to take the chance in screwing it up just to get the wheels out a little farther.

Looks good man. Not quite my taste in the kit. But it goes together. Loving the engine bay though. Looks like alot of hard work was put into her. Good luck at the dyno, let us know how it goes.

These pics really dont do the car justice. The car looks very mean and muscular with the wide body kit in person.

We took some of those photos before I put that back on. I apparently posted the early ones. We were going for a subtle kit and a subtle car. This is not something to draw your eye, even though it does a good job of that. This is a car that speaks in the details and the fact that much of it is imperceptable. We wanted a widebody but nothing as crazy as many of the drifters or Time Attack guys run so the Do-Luck kit went on it. The wheels were Cindy's choice, its her car and its her choice, she likes them and thats all that really matters. I wanted to use some Gold Advans or Volks but they would take too long to get and I was tired of waiting to finish the car. Besides, this was a birthday present for her and we couldn't have gotten the wheels in time for her birthday. It does look much better in person, if I was building it for a magazine I would have done things differently but its not. This is something that she can comfortably drive on the street everyday without worrying about it and that's what I built the car to do. Here's some more pics of it.

Was wondering how you got your 15? You buy it from someone who had it imported already? Also what spec is it?

Cool Cat Racing
04-26-2007, 10:23 AM
Its a 99 Spec R. We had the car imported and legalized. The first one we looked at was a yellow Aero but the front had been wrecked and not repaired well so we ended up with this one, only 11K Km when we got it.

DmC
04-26-2007, 04:58 PM
Damn, 11k. Thats damn good. If you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost for you to import/legalize? I might have less than a year left here. Trying to see if I can bring the S15 back with me. Thanks

NICE AS HELL!! yeah i would change the wheels tho... what did you paint the vc with?

Cool Cat Racing
04-27-2007, 03:24 PM
The valve cover and the lower Greddy oil pan are actually powder coated. Its polished and then candy powdercoated over that so it won't chip or flake like paint with the heat. All the polishing and powdercoating on this car was done by Best Metal in Lilburn. As you can see he did one helluva job.
