Just got back in from the drag strip. 14.86 at 94.5MPH on shitty kumo tires all my interior and my system. I ran a 16 flat with the Z6 (non turbo) and the same set of tires.
I could have gone faster because the air temps came down really fast when the sun went down. To bad my car developed a vary vary small oil leak and they kicked me off the track. But I'm happy with the 14.86. Now its time to build another motor because this one is getting louder and the oil pressure is starting to worry me but hey its only money. Should be able to use a lot of the parts on this block on the new Z6 but the pistons will have to be changed for sure.

75mm JE forged pistons. There probably going to be no good when I pull them out. I got a nasty case of piston slap going on.(pistons are to small for the cylinder bore.)

I'm going to pull my old A6 motor apart and see if the crank is good and use it in the Z6 motor. The y7 has had all the machine work done to the crank but its missing every nut and bolt. and the d15b7 is stock and runs good but it needs rings.

-new brakes all around, resurfaced front rotors
-installed rear disc conversion, rotors out of spec = new rotors
-wheel bearing shot=order new bearing. = car down. FTL

my car is down too. well the tires i put on it got eated in less then 3 weeks. complete wires showing. so i put those in the back and i tried to set the camber with somefriends. we tried fucking with it lilttle by little but the wheels kept making really loud screeching noises ( the same noises u hear a car make a 60 mph turn. only i go 20 and it does it) and my tires are pretty much bald after 2 days of riding like this so i now think my toes are really messed up. going to take the camber kit out and put my stock ones in and see if it fixes the problem if not. i dnno

I'll have to borrow the cash to machine my crank, buy new bearings n rings, and replace the factory bolts with studs. I cant f^cking afford pistons n rods...:mad: :cussing: so to me there is no f^cking point in replacing any of it :mad: :cussing:AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

It's barely ticking but how long before barely turns into thrown rod and busted block. Son of abitch... yet another thing I've never done... drop the bottom end outta my shit, re-ring the pistons, put it back together. How hard is that shit?:cry:

I drove my crx hard with a spun bearing for almost 80miles. It was still running when i pulled it apart. Thats with a spun bearing if yours is just ticking it should last for a while. Run thick oil in it and it may help. Good luck.

Not to hard but vary time consuming and a lot of clearance numbers.

I've never played around with timing. I've just put it to stock. Turn it a little bit at a time then test drive it. The amount of adjustment by turning the dist. isn't a lot. (I think)
