DOHC Vtec is crazy awesome. SOHC Vtec is not so awesome.:( When Vtec hits on a DOHC motor you know it right away. Its to quiet on the SOHC motors but all that maters is its there.

Your EJ is an EX correct? If so put a turbo kit on it and you will be were MadMike is. :goodjob: Its cheaper than any B series swap and more horse power you will have. :camera:

the oil pump on mine now is apparently not good and the reason I need to replace the bottom end. Takes forever for the oil pick up to get my motor ol when I first cranked it up.... So, I gotta quit driving it until I get everything to swap it... I got bad valve chatter in it because of it... vtec sucks...LOL I should've stayed with just the LS...<-- wait, that doesnt make a cool sound at 5500 LOL

I ran into my first boosted issue. My knock off greddy BOV is stuck closed:thinking: Its cool anyway because its ugly (pink) and it came with the intercooler kit. So I just bought a real deal greddy type RS BOV(silver and blue)

After doing some research my BOV hasn't been opening at all. The sound you hear is compressor surge made really loud due to the open dump tube.

It was a good motor. It went 300,000 miles and only problem we had was it broke a timing belt one morning. Thats it. Crazy part is my mom, my brother and I all learned how to drive 5 speed in this car. But that's in the past and its got a newer motor in it with only 100,000 miles on it so after we pay the fines on the tag and get it registered it will be back on the road.

I took my turboed(hehe) CRX for a nice ride in the mountains after work yesterday. Me and trevor my friend with the Z6 swapped HF crx went. I was behind him and went we got to the strait away in front of the campground I dropped it into 2nd and put her to the floor. Went from 50mph to 110mph in no time. We had my walky-talkys and you should of heard him as I passed him. He said I was smocking the tires and leaving duel black marks as i passed him in 3rd. It was dry at the bottom and it was wet right after a quick shower so it was slippery as hell. I found out really fast you got to be careful coming out of a corner and getting on it. Both front tires light up and the car straitens up with the steering wheel cut. I still had a blast. It has so much power its unbelievable. Only problem I ran into was the center front valve cover bolt is striped and its leaking oil onto the manifold. I got to dill it out and tap it. I was trying to be easy on her because that was the first time I've pushed it hard, that and my BOV is stuck closed so I'm getting some wicked compressor surge. It sound awesome but its bad for the turbo. That should be fixed in a day or so when my real deal Greddy type RS BOV get here.
