after i sell my integra i plan on turboing my accord. i'm new to forced induction. but i have had and built N/A motors before. so what all do i need? besides common sense stuff. like turbo, intercooler, manifold, things like that.

ive seen stock accord make well over 300hp, just make sure you tune it and put together a decent turbo kit.
Romeo

im buying my turbo kit off on treadstoneperformance. so it will be a good kit. and im gonna get it tuned right. cause its gonna be my DD soon so its gonna have to be reliable.

well...what else would you do?? and my point of saying the car is a tank would be that you might brag of the power you make to the wheels or whatever but when you run someone and lose....it will be because the car's a tank and no one said the car didnt have potential but when you sell ur car after boosting it cuz you want something lighter that will let your numbers speak...dont forget that i told you so
and 93_DA if you gonna buy a treadstone kit....talk to ch@dbee:goodjob:

i can fit just as many in my 4dr integra. accords are nice, but i have seen 2 or 3 H22 accords that were turbo charged and still lose to STOCK SRT4s.
i do like accords they just dont like speed.:tongue1:

it has a cast iron block and compression in the 8s.... it screams to be turbod
one of my friends has a 14b set up on hiss 90 accorn, he just broke a motor mount and he has been turbod for 2 YEARS

a few things to think about
1- f22b is just a h23 head on a non vtec f22b block, think of it as a factory ls/novtec no the greatest motor to try an boost.
2- f20b has 11.0:1 compression ratio, one slip up in the tuning and you can kiss that motor good bye.
3- f22b's have low compression but can not handle much boost stock.
4- and this one goes out to all the haters, if you don't like accords go buy a kia and stfu. The boosted tank will unit! bitches!!!

yeah id iver seen boosted hatches lose to srt-4s, non turbo neons with motor work, all motor integras etc etc etc and they weight less then accords so whats ur point just cause its turbo doesnt mean its fast, tuning and power play ket. just because you add a turbo doesnt mean ur gonna gain 100whp. No everyone wants to be 6 foot 4 and 25+ driving a civic hatch

boost the F22B1 or 2, my buddy has a boosted F22B2 (non vtec) he's pushing 10lbs of boost and is reliable as NE thing. been running like this for more than a year and he is pushing V8 #s (220HP, 290ish FT LBS TQ) You do the math. im getting the same kit hes got and told me to expect better #s since i have VTEC.

Wow, i didn't realize i drove a tank . So when did >3500 something pound car be considered a tank? I thought you could make that statement when your car is close to or more than 3500lbs. I know it might not be the "best" platform out there to boost, but to make that "tank" statement is just :gay:

a DSM manifold will match up, but you will have to slot the bolt holes

Don't cheap out on a manifold. You'll pay for it later on. I'm sure there are some lying round in the For sale threads of other forums.

oh guys. it is a heavy car for being a honda, johnny is right. but look at evo's and STi's they weight like 3500, if u can make enough power the car will still be fast. but that does not change the fact it is still a tank for being a honda. just make more HP to make up for the extra weight?
say werd son!

what im trying to get through to these guys. A 94 accord Dx 5 spd sedan is only 2800lbs. The sedans aren't much heavier.

Alot of misconceptions bro, but to each their own. You don't know how many people mistaken my accord for a civic :wtf:. Not all family sedans are "tanks." Ours is normal weight. Like i showed you before the V6 sedan tips the scales at 3300ish lbs. Still not considered tank territory imo. A crown vic or a Caprice classic is a damn 4 door tank.

An Accord weighs only 300 lbs more than a civic, it's not a land whale! My accord is waitin' for you haters. Accords have lots of torque, and solid engines. (cast iron sleeves and the strongest crank of all Honda engines)(ok not the k series) Accord FTW
