I was 5 or 6 when it came out and I was terrified of the lil fucker.......We went to see at the theater and to top it off my Mom bought me E.T. curtains and matching bed spread. No lie, true story - I had what I guess was a dream or nightmare: E.T. wheels into my bedroom in a wheelchair, he's wearing my favorite blue/yellow striped Lacoste polo, claimed I'm the reason he's in the wheelchair and he thought we were friends. In horror I hid under the covers. E.T. did the finger thing and lifted the cover off of me. The kicker was when I woke up. The damn bed spread was lying flat on the floor. Perfectly smooth, not one wrinkle or fold. Shit had me wigged out for a long time.

I think it was something about that house. Round shadow objects used to chase me through the house also (round body and a series of round shapes for arms & legs). I would wake up and the bastards would be staring at me from the corner of the room. There were many of nights I hauled ass from my room all the way to my parents. House was setup like two master bedrooms on each side of the house, had to run through the kitchen, around the Den and past the bedroom before I made it safely to the mom and dad's room. The bastards never could catch me.......

Good times..........and I'm still a vivid dreamer!!!

what funny is that, the movie is sooo old when she rented the movie it was on VHS, and she is probably the only motherfucker in the world wit a VHS machine. she came in her apartment and was like baby look what i rented and i was like "why are u gonna go and do that and u know im scaredof that movie", but i then said "well it doesnt matter because u dont have a VHS player. she then pointed to the entertainment center there was a fucking VHS player that seemed like it majically appeared.
