It's summer time.. so I'm looking for wheels for autox(and some feedback/suggestions)

This is a repost of mine on audiworld (but they suck :-P). I'm mainly looking for wheel opinions/feed back. The lighter, the better:

So I'm looking at wheels and tires for my 06 Audi A4 2.0T. Looks aren't a factor. Weight, fit, and cost are. I won't run these normally, only for events.

I've decided to spend money for some nice rims that will last me a good while. I've shooting for the ~$250/wheel range, and $~100/tire.

Because these will be for autocross (I've not done an event yet, but I don't want to tear up my street tires), I was thinking 17x8 wheels would be the best deal.

My reasoning is that 8" is pretty wide, and I don't want to deal with fit complications of gonig to 18" and/or something too wide. Also my car has the OEM sports suspension option, so it is lower than non-sline cars.

After looking around, I found these:

The BF Goodrich g-Force Sports are $96 or $108 ea depending on the size I get.
245/45ZR17 are $12 more, but they are wider... My only concern is if they would fit. The specs say they'll mount on 8" wide rims, but I don't want to have to worry about rubbing under hard cornering.
The other size I'm looking at is the "reccomended" 235/45ZR17.

Has any one used either this wheel or tire? Any feedback? Do you think the 245's will be fine? Have any other suggestions for a wheel or tire?

245 width will fit absolutely fine. Kosei's are always popular... OZ ultraleggeras are a bit heavier but also good I assume (I ran superleggeras but they dont make those anymore it seems)
