Usually those filters get soaked in oil, and the excessive heat will cause it to burn and smoke, what color and when was the smoke coming out of the exhaust.

is the pcv working properly? If so, you should have draw through the valve cover vent, if not I hope it is not blow bye from the rings

found that out two weeks in. boosted b16 look into topline pistons. gsr's are 40 bucks a piece and shipping was like 6 bucks got them next day. mainstream put me on to them. be sure to use honda rings though

Samething i was thinking, but i didn't want to go and wreck his day. That what happen to me too. Comp test will be the truth. Also if you put the motor under a harsh load like WOT and you hear pinging of some sort. For sure they are gone. Also is your car misfiring?

BTW, White Accord, the little filter on the valve cover = no more oil and shit going into your intake manifold to gum up your throttle plate, manifold, etc. SMOKED TAIL lights, especially on a white car IS RICE, didn't they quit doing that shit in the 80's, or is it to match your IROC-Z?
