NEED HELP WITH A KENWOOD CD PLAYER ASAP!!!!!!!!

i have a Kenwood cd player and it stopped making sound.. like it was working fine a few hours ago but i went back outside to my car and tryed to play a cd and it would read and show that it was working fine but no sound thru any speaker.. and no it's not on mute or anything and yeah already checked all the wire connection.. any suggestions??!!!?!:cry: :no:

hey i had the same prob. take the head unit out completely and wait a while then put it back, should work. if not hit the reset button

if you allready took power away from it and it is still doing it you may have a broke radio my brother

if it is a detatchable face take it off and clean the connections with a q-tip and try that may be getting a bad connection or try to check all connections on the back of cd plaYER one last try see if you can find out how to reset the cd player you possibly have blown the internal amp and may just need to replace it or run an external amp to it if it has outputs is an option the outputs should still work

hey, thats not a good thing at all.. sound usually not working.. usually means either a short in the deck, wiring or the amp on the deck went bad..... now.. you could get a new deck, but since its working still, best bet and best sound would be run a 4 channel amp instead...!!!

kenwood radios will shut off audio if there is a blown or grounded out speaker connected to it (safety feature) if you own a digital multi-meter check your speaker leads at the radio for continuity to ground (bare metal, lip of cig. lighter hole works well) if you dont own a meter, but have minimal knowlege of how to remove your panels check your speakers out, mabey the leads or lead like i said it only takes one, is touching metal or just blown.
