I just hope it's not like NFS were all the cars auto level to be the same speed as yours but more like Tokyo Xtreme Racer were all the cars were modded different.

it's made by the same people that made Tokyo Extreme.. just hope they made the game a little more interesting.

It's going to be able to communicate with the PSP version as well.
Wow, seems I'm the only person on here that actually plays Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 2.
In the game, you adjust your specs between Power and Handling. If anyone wants to see, go to Arbor Place Mall and go to the arcade. I'll show you.
Oh, and the Manga for this has been out for close to 15 years. :D

Is there any anime out based on it? I loved initial D, so something similar should be pretty cool imo.

I believe there was talk about one made back in the 90's, but I'm not too sure.
I on the other hand have the only translated versions of the manga Volumes 1-3 on my home computer.
On another Message Board I'm on, some guys took it upon themselves to start translating it. They gave up after a while.
It's really cool. It's about a kid who always wanted a fast car to run on the highways of Japan but always had a crappy one. He goes to a junkyard and finds a pristine 240Z with the wheels off about to be crushed. He buys it and finds out every owner who has driven the car has died, yet the car remains untouched.
That's all I'll say for now.

they've actually officially annoucned the anime seires for the summer of 2007 - only it will only be aired pay-per-view on an anime network over in Japan - but if you youtube wangan midnight and click the first vid and watch the intro vid - same people will be making the anime :D

Yeah, the intro to the game on PS2 looked really good.
I just wish those guys didn't stop translating the manga..
