I agree, instead of learning u are just going to bitch out and sell it. Atleast learn how to drive a stick first and then sell it if you don't like it. I live on the southside, and I will teach you if its that difficult. Once you learn how to use the clutch and not the gas, yo will master it in no time. Get on a hill and just learn how to use the clutch to gradually go up the hill. If you fell like it going to stall, push the clutch in and try again

I drive a stick... have for years. Hell, even my mom can drive stick.

But if you don't feel safe, go on and get rid of it. I'd rather have one less torn up transmission on a good car.

sorry but I have to :lmfao:, I never heard anyone being scaried they were going to wreck because they are driving a stick. I could see if you didn't like driving it in heavy traffic every single day. Its your car and have fun with your next auto car .

I would just ask someone who knows how to drive stick to go with you to an abandoned parking lot so you can practice. That's the only way you're ever gonna learn how to drive it properly. If you're into performance modifications, you might as well keep the stick because there's not much you can do to an auto without rebuilding the tranny.

cool man...ive been lookin for a clean miata...but im sure i'll spot another....Gluck on the same!!

yeah whatever, they can hate all they want....its some kinda macho BS thing to drive stick and most these ppl have never set foot on a track in their life to make use of a manual anyway (with exception of course)...honestly i MUCH rather drive an auto then a manual everyday....especially in traffic or on dates!!....my Gran Marquis may be big and ugly but my GF prefers it to my small, loud, stiffly sprung, jolty (as she calls it ) MR2. Plus it has the front bench seat...if you know what i mean ;) ....no shame in driving an Auto...just try and stay away from the FWD auto slush boxes in most cars.

N/A or Turbo? those cars, although nice to look at, are Horrible to work on....i mean damn near impossible for most simple tasks. Why not something like an Auto 3rd Gen Rx7?

wow i would stay away from the 3kgt's they are probably the worst car to work on that i have ever seen!!! and not even worth a damn FWD non turbo.......with $5K and wanting an N/A sutomatic i hate to say it but the Z might be the best option....that or start looking into american cars.....some of the older F body Cam/TA's are fast as hell even auto

well either way a z32 is considered a sports car the only difference would be the extra charge they give you for the V8's poor gas mileage. My old T/A was actually cheaper then my N/A FC??? go figure.......for an auto id rather have the tq'y V8 backin it up....but the Z isnt a bad choice either...def a pussy getter

it's your choice to drive a stick or auto.
But the miata has one of the best/easiest/fun trans i have driven in my life.
As a 5 speed miata driver, I would say to keep your car a little longer, and you will find the fun out of it, especially it is RWD, so you can do something that FWD can't do.
