What's up with Star 94.1 radio station editing songs? Racist?

--Ludacris not in Fergie's song.

--Timberland deleted from the best part of JT's song Goes around.

--T.I. not in JT's song

--Mary J / Ludacris "Runaway love" which is a hit never on 94.1

--Shakira - Hips don't lie (no rap) (better without, but besides the point)

--Just noticed in Gwen Stefani's - the Great Escape they even deleted the Akon trademark cell door closing

There's more but that is all I can think of at this time.

wifey loves the station so i'm forced to listen to it a lot...it's not terrible though, radio in atl generally sucks anyhow...

anyways i think it's cuz their programming is to play pop music but not necessarily urban/rap. if you notice even the mixes for some r&b songs from beyonce and whoever else crosses over will be different...they'll have instrumentals cutting out the intros so you don't hear talking, etc.

also i notice that they'll play instrumentals for rap songs while the hosts are talking...but i never hear the songs.

They are a station that is played at places where people work and places where younger kids frequent. So they have to play music that will appeal to the people listening to it.
