Paypal froze my account about a week ago. It said my account was limited and if i answer these questions like social security # and fone number and verify and etc theyd restore it in 3 days.... i did that shit the day it happened and its been a week. Now they are talkin bout My account is linked to another account which has a dispute. My account will be frozen until that dispute is resolved?... wtf?

Does anyone have any tips on the situation? Thanks in advance

nah.... its legit... not a scam... I logged into paypal one day and it wouldnt let me do shit... (my account was frozen>.. meaning no sending/recieving of payments) ...

I then called paypal support... and they explained why. Now I have to find out who or what I am linked to that is causing me to be frozen.

thanks for the posts though.

when i log in, everythings normal, except for a pink banner up top that says my account is limited and it is under investigation.

I just sold an ipod on ebay and dude sent the money to my account RIGHT b4 it got frozen... now I dont know if i'll get that money so I'm thinking of not shipping. The buyer can easily get his money back by filing a claim since I didnt ship the item, but I have had a SQUEEKY CLEAN perfect record for years and this is really pissing me off.

anyone went through this and want to shed some light??

i haven't had the problem.....the guy who just got the ipod might have done something...either used a stolen CC or had funds in the paypal that we not his...or may have even had a claim against you for something hoping you would send the ipod and he would get his money back

You account might have been hacked by someone else. And they used your account to setup shop somewhere and did some illegal stuff. it happened with my ebay account, until they notified me and told me. I had no idea, and I use ebay atleast 2-3 times a month. Not sure what to tell you dude, but you have to get onto paypals case about whats going on, and you have no idea with why your account should be locked and so forth.

Well it was a cheesy email, like some kid did it! What it is, when you click on the link that they have supplied, and go to sign in or what not, Im pretty sure they have like a tracer or whatever just getting all your info when you type it in...IMO!

Edit.... I opened a new window, went and checked my account, and everything was fine, I changed my password, for better security, and they sent me an email confirming my change, and it used my full name instead of the scamers using a email addy..

BUMP, still frozen... i just called paypal... and I found out the situation, I need some opinions

I just found out that paypal is smart lol. Ok so one of my friends had his account frozen for some questionable activity i do not want to get into. Well he needed to buy some shit off of ebay. So he had it under watched items under his ebay account... Well I payed for it... with my paypal account, thinking nothing of it... and shazaam im linked, locked. Now im fucked.... Anyone know what I should do?

Should I play the "i dont know who he is" card or should i be like "the dudes a scammer, he never told me his account was locked" or should i be like "I did a friend a favor and payed using my account, not knowing his was locked" ...

so far I am playing the first card, but the lady on the other side of the phone knew it was BS, because shes like theres substatial evidence that you are sharing information with this person...

SAME IP, his watched item and I payed for it... other shit... :

Im fucked any help would be awesome
