pretty interesting...on one hand, it IS a job and these folks have an image to uphold. on the other hand, these folks are dying for us and to tell them what they should or shouldn't be allowed to do to themselves seems kinda ridiculous.

discuss :goodjob:

If they are willing to risk their lives, they should be able to do as they please. They should be entitled to some of the same liberties they would have if they weren't serving their country.

i dont think as fast and maybe not even at all to the army im not sure
the marines just think they have standards to meet i guess no harm in wanting to look nice but i guess it is kinda harsh on telling them they cant d something to their own body

this isnt a ban on all tattoos only those wich are visible while in uniform... while i understand the Corps has an image to uphold. i know that this is going to cause somewhat of an uproar within the Marines. not much since they arent allowed much freedom anyways.. the Navy has the same type of standard about tatoos. but its is not really enforeced unless the higher ups just dont like you. I knew a few people who had tattoos on the lower part of there arms and theywerent allowed to were short sleved uniforms... but then there were other with the same type of tattoo who no body gave them a problem.. alot of it has to do with work ethic beleive it or not.. if youre a great worker and an asset to you command you will get away with much more stuff. but if youre a staright out dirtbag, then youre pretty much fucked cause they are going to nit pick everything you do wrong.

I can see the banning of the huge tattos below the elbow, its always been like that. I think so atleast. But above the elbow? Are you serious? Our boys who are out there risking their lives for us? F that. Ive been considering doing the Officeirs program with the core while in college. But screw that now. Dick heads!
