Unlike mine it's flexible and being just a couple inches of the ground that's a major benefit. I see garden edging used at the track all the time...hell, even Roger Foo had a 1/4" plywood splitter back in the day on his world championship car.

Is it put on with rivets or screws? I always use aluminum rivets so it will easily shear instead of getting hung up and tears my fenders and bumper off if i snag something.

'96 first year of the 4.0 and he had problems with it running...i told him the possibilities it could be, replaced a couple sensors and after a few months i finally figured it out. I asked him about what gas he puts in it....regular only since he got it, what a fukin retard :slap: it's says premium only everywhere: on the gauge, on the fuel door...?!!!

The first thing he did was pull off the brushguard, said he didn't like the chrome on it....lolol, it's a freakin polished stainless steel guard with $500+ in Hella lights on the front!! I bought it as a one owner and he spent $7,000 on all the accessories in '99 then i bought it for $12k in like '01, lol.

the advantage to the home depot lips are really found at the track. They do give that aerodynamic benefit of keeping air out from under your car, but by the same token, if/when you hit something or run off the road, it rips off (if ratcheted), and takes the impact rather than your bumper. And while a $50 lip might not be too expensive, they screw in... which means every time a road racer/autoxer/drifter runs over a cone or runs off the road (which happens to even the best of them), not only is that a $50 lip gone down the hole, but it's also damage on the front bumper. And, as is evidenced by Jason's... when done right, they can look good. But to each his own. I've seen a ton of HD lips, and I'm impartial either way. It's like le Mans cars having huge wings... function over fashion.

I think some of these are just WAY too big for the front of a stock bodied car but they can be pulled off. I personally like the cleaner or less agressive look. Its all a matter of taste. If one day you decide the look isn't all that, take it off and throw it away. Its $5, in the end you get what you paid for. Here's mine:

Mine is garage door edging I think lol. Coolcat bought the material. Mine, Coolcats, and Santacruz all have the same material, I think me and Santacruz have brackets, Coolcat does not, not sure.

What other areas do you think we should concentrate our time on? Because this took so much time and effort, mine took two weeks to draw in CAD, print out measurements, etc. The final product was cut on a CNC machine.

You would be suprised. My home depot lip has only one small bracket (in the center) but had absolutely no problems with flexing at high speeds. Even with no brace at all it stayed rock solid at 70+ mph.

no actually i burried the speedo at a little over 150 with the gsr tranny on all motor. i had right at 400whp boosted with the ls tranny. I ran a z06 vette up to 170 before. Aerodynamics? haha thats was 2k in suspension was for.

no actually i burried the speedo at a little over 150 with the gsr tranny on all motor. i had right at 400whp boosted with the ls tranny. I ran a z06 vette up to 170 before. Aerodynamics? haha thats was 2k in suspension was for.

are you guys stupid? you must not know a car...a low 11 second car with the right tranny would do 180 with no problems. especially in a light ass car. 180km/h? thats 110mph...my 3rd toped out at 115mph so that proves your theory wrong.

your right i dont but suspension does not help aerodynamics(create downforce) it does however improve handleing. and your right my car doesnt have nay but thats because I'm not working right now and I've only had this car a few months. My tC however had trd struts, trd lower brace bars, tein s-tech's etc. trust me i know plenty about suspension but you really cant argue that it helps to create downforce. and i wasnt really hating so long as its not flapping at 80mph goin down the free way go for it. the only suggestion i would make is to not worry about the haters. dont let them keep you off IA because they only make you stronger

doens't matter if you have a 11 sec car...i call straight up BS on 180mph. A teg will prbly loose control in less than a sec at those speed....unless you are a FLAT ASS road or track built for speeds. You tell me how a 2k suspension is helping you in aerodyanmic section? Plus also tell us what other aero mods other than home depot lip and R wing did you do the car to make it 180mph stable?

Please don't bring in the low 11 second thing. There are many factors to the ET and trap speed, and has nothing to do with top speed.

Second, weight has nothing to do with top speed. Honestly, I'd rather be in a heavier car at those speeds.

And what your 3rd tops out at has nothing to do with anything either. Aerodynamic drag increases exponentially at those speeds.

But try and keep it under 200....
