Well today i was headed to the import frenzy but decided to stop by a friends first. and i hear this rattling. it's the timing chain tensioner. so i try to make it to his house so i can pull the valve cover off and try to fix it, but it's too late. it breaks completely and the motor is leaking oil down the front side and wont start. timing is completely off. hope it's not beyond repari. if so its time to buy a tomei motor. i told my dad a thousand times we need to order this. but they got hold of my savings account and i cant spend my own money. I wold still have a 300zx too if it werent for their stupidity. ahh well.

i am 20 yrs old and i got a checking account but its usually for bills. my savings was started for me in 8th grade under their name so they have complete control over that account. are sr's interference motors?

if your cct broke there's really not anywhere it would leak oil, it would fall into the pan and quite possibly screw other things up but definitely not bust any holes in the engine.

hope you've got at least $8k (or up to $13k) lying around if you want a tomei motor...

THE timing chain tensioner has a gasket right that could leak oil doesnt it? i haent had tiem to fiddle with my sr cuz it WAS running fine. I noticed a good bit of oil in front of the motor after it completely broke. it had already been leaking oil a litle beforehand. there aret any holes in the motor.
