looks just like a stock 13b with exhaust...may have had a blown Apex seal or they might have been planning an engine swap...therefore plenty of reason to blow up the old motor....7 guys seem to do this alot lol. they take the coolant caps off so the engines over heat....otherwise they will sit at redline for days! 2 dumb things ppl sometimes dont realize when they do this is...you have to have the clutch depressed and out of gear to make sure that when/if the motor seizes the flywheel doesnt shatter sending shrapnel through the trans tunnel and into you legs lol....that and Rotory engines make tremendous amounts of exhaust heat....normal exhaust temps reach 1300 degrees under hard use, which can easily start a fire in penty of places in/on the car (which you saw).....most are lucky and only burn the bumper....others fry harnesses and any number of other important electronic/mechanical parts
