rides just fine, id compare it to a SOHC 240 in amounts of power. Its definately quicker, but doesnt give you that gut feeling like the KA does.

172k miles?that is a bomb on wheels waiting to blow

how? nothing wrong with that amount of miles. doesnt look like the cars been abused. NA rotary's will run twice as long as boosted cars. there have been numerous NA cars make it to 300K. just maintain it.

GL on the sale. car looks good and i think the price is fine. :goodjob:
try teamfc3s.org and RX7club.com if you havent got it listed on them yet.

did it pass emissions yet?

I will vouch for how clean it is, i've seen it in person at the lot i work at before we sold this in auction.

I know how much carmax bought that car for though ;) your starting price is a "little" on the high side

BuBBa DRiFT
03-26-2007, 08:24 AM
yeah i know, my friend found out how much it sold for previously after the fact, but just because the dealer before me got it cheap doesnt mean it isnt worth that much.

Decently clean car, but there is no way its worth 3800. !72K is 172k either way you look at it....My S5 91 GXL with 82K on the original motor, leather, power everything, in much the same condition blue booked at $2500-2700 when i bought it 3 years ago

thats the KBB on that car...even in EXCELLENT condition this car isnt worth more then $3,500.....IMHO you would be better off trying for $3000

BuBBa DRiFT

"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

This car meets all those requirements besides the service records part. That price is $3,540. I said any offer over $3000 will be considered, I think that is fair enough.

Thanks for your input though.

regardless of whether yours is in better condition, the price people would pay for them determines the value. Look at 240's. Blue Book puts them at $1300 for Excellent. Do you see any going for under $1600 that are "good"? NO. So really, with any import or popular vehicle its about supply and demand, the supply of these FCs are very limited and the overall technology of these things make them great cars. Considering Ive seen first gen RX7s in worse condition than this go for near twice this. I have 172k miles on this, and thats the only flaw, if you can even count that as being one.

lol there is no High demand for FC's at all. Nor is there any Shortage of Them here in the states.....especially the N/A's.

I will vouch for the car, dont get me wrong alfano, the reason i know so much is the fact i tried to get it, but they wouldnt because the vehicle had been put into the auction run list.

The car is EXTREEMLY clean, and worth more than every little beater on here, Drives strong. Somone would be happy with it.

That work alfano ;)

I just like seeing specifics in the ads, just because its been repainted isnt bad.. its a pretty nice paintjob.

BuBBa DRiFT
03-27-2007, 06:42 PM
thats cool dude, i was actually curious because the dealer was a real dickhead and my friend just jumped on this car, (hes the one that crashed the red 240 in that video i posted a while back) luckily he came out with a good car. yeah, i mean in this case i dont have records, and it has a new paintjob. but its almost 20 years old and still in good condition.

I think asking the somewhere in between "good" and "excellent" will suffice.

mrt0mjones
03-28-2007, 07:00 AM
i agree, i did a half assed compression test on the vehicle,AKA: started it up, let it run for a bit (half hour) drove it for a little bit around the lot, parked it, and then let it sit for 10, and went to crank it back up... this is where most low compression rotaries fail, showing signs of wear on the apex, wont start.

That car completely passed the test, you can drive it all you want, leave it, and it will start back up..

I dont know if the motor had been refreshed or not, but it runs a little too good for 170k.

good luck alfano, i' know whoever buys it will be very happy!

BuBBa DRiFT
03-29-2007, 01:34 PM

Bump for a clean 7. Rotaries will last forever despite what piston people say about them. I had a 1990 GTUs run great all the way up to 250k+ miles, until I did a turbo swap, the engine is in my friend's S4 running great still.

lol at never been drifted.... cookie cutter wheels means no dori dori.

anyways, i have a smiliar FC, just auto and no engine. and i couldn't sell it for 500 bucks.
ha i guess people want engines when they buy cars.

good luck on the sale, and if the car starts when its hot then it has good compression and non leaky injectors
