This is on a 94 honda accord.

In order to remove the rotors you need to remove 4 bolts holding a plate thats in front of the rotor. I cant make these damn things budge for the life of me. Ive used pb blaster a breaker bar and one of those impact drivers you hit with a hammer. They wont budge and Im not gonna use the bar again cause I stripped one of the bolts a little with it.

Any ideas?

They press on and off, like a wheel bearing. You need a press.

Soo I dont have to take these bolts out just a press would do?

and I have to put the plate back onto the rotor so either way wouldnt I have to take out those bolts?

Yeah you would, if I remember correctly. I dunno why they made the Accord/Prelude Rotors like that. It's a big pain in the ass.

No ideas what to do about those bolts then?

Unfortunately not at the moment. It has been years since I have fucked with rotors on that bodystyle Accord. I'm trying to remember. I'll call a couple folks too and see what I can come up with.

Try some heat. Can you get to the back of them where they thread in? (i've never dealt with them which is why i'm asking) If so, try heating them up and putting Toilet seal wax on them, should sort of suck it in and let em move. Or just heat in general Map gas kicks ass!!

Do they have a hole that you can thread a bolt to pull them away from the hub?

Honda tech to the rescue. (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1281812)

If you have a 90-97 accord this is a good thing to get done while your doing your rotors. I know I wish I had found this 'ish before I got started. (http://www.accordinglydone.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3970)

Or for $160 less one of these. (http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2007833/c-10101/Nty-1/p-2007833/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10101/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=hub+puller)

Wow, nice guide. Much more complicated that most Nissan brakes I have seen.

You have to pulll the whole front suspension apart to get those rotors off, if you just need to get them turned, take them to a shop that can do it on the car $100-$150. Stupid fucking design on the 94-97 Accords.
