Falken Ad Mock-Up

A magazine ad mock-up, it's 4 piece design i made for a project in one of my classes at school:

"falken" is off center.
I personally would rather see the the nose of the cars sharper.
I would go with a slightly darker yellow on the porsche one, that MIGHT look better?!?!
The bottom of the colored text is a little muddy (lighten the end of the gradient)

cool man, thanks for your imput.. the filter i used tends to blur a little more than the original photo,

but besides the logo offcenter lol.. pretty much everything else looked 10 times better when i printed the hard copy :goodjob:

i like it man. the only thing that irks me is the gradient and glow on "falken".
I think that using those layer styles can make things look a little over-done. Personally, i think that just doing a simple, clean outline of the falken logo in the color of the car witha simple drop shadow would look a lot cleaner.

other than that, i love all of them. +1 for the awesome car shots!

yeah exactly.. and also the fact that i had to use all photos that i had personally taken. Since that picture of my azenis is the closest photo to a "product" shot of falken tires, i used it.

Excellent work, but i think that using a different falken logo would give it a smoother feel. Possibly the outlined Falken logo with no glow. Just an opinion...other than that, great job!

Thanks man, yeah i couldnt even find the falken logo in a large enough resolution to use for this, so i used a font that looked pretty close...

if you can use EPS, you can find most, not all, companies vector art logos brandsoftheworld.com...
