i've got to do something about my exhaust.. it sounds good(imo) but it's too loud...

the cat has been gutted... and a silencer doesn't do a bit of good...

what's worse is the fumes.. i get crazy exhaust fumes in my car... not cool

is there like a universal resonator(spl) or something of the sort i could get for my hatch?

to be honest i don't care how loud it is outside.. but inside the car it's too loud... i know i could dyna mat it, but that won't stop the fumes...

A resonator or two. The fumes will NOT stop as long as you have the gutted cat.

We've all done some less than comfortable things just for the sake a "faster car"

cough cough... putting the heat on full blast with the windows up, and NO interior just to be a fraction of a second quicker for a race...cough cough...;)

Believe me man... When you drive your car without that loud ass noise killing your head on the highway, you'll feel great. When your girlfriend finally believes you when you say you DON'T work at a gas station, you'll feel even better!

Get a cat = less smell
Get a resonator = less noise

Get a cat & resonator = happier eg owner!:goodjob:

the ebay high flow cats don't catalyze.. they are more of a test pipe.. am i not correct???

anyways.. how do u get both a cat and resonator on on the exhaust... is there any cutting or welding that needs to take place or are they both just bolt ons?

Doesn't really have to be a hole. It could be lack of seal at joining pipes. I get exhaust in my car as well. But I know why I'm getting it, and slowly but surely fixing the issue. lol

Cats really don't hurt flow very much on N/A cars. They actually do a good thing which is keep the exhaust nice and hot, which in turn keeps it moving very quickly (basic chemistry here).
