Anyone know about this or possibility of doing this? I want to possibly get my intercooler to be black.... or just a way to hide it better :) my car is definitely trying to go for the sleeper look :)

i used a side mount on my old civic, taped up the fins and painted basically the front of the intercooler, in theory i figured it wouldnt cool as well if i covered it w/ paint, but it also helped that it fit behind my bumper on the side and that my car was black and w/ a light coat you couldnt ever tell it was there

Paint acts as insulation, kinda like those big sleeves pizza delivery guys have to keep the pizza's warm....it's up to you if you wanna work against the intercooler and prevent it from doing it's job :2cents:
you can paint it... but like speedminded says, it will work against it.. but if you want it painted, go for it.. its not that big of a diffrence..

lol killed that idea pretty fast eh?lol! yeah, you know...a pretty engine that runs a lil hot, drops a few valves, then sounds like a skeleton masturbating in a metal filing cabinet didn't seem like the route to go :dunno:
