Too bad I'm too young to work at Delta. Only 17, turnin 18 in June. It's cool though, happy with QT and I'll upgrade later if I don't upgrade in the company.

right now delta is building backup, so once they are fully back up and operating then they will have a few years before the backrupcy and pay cuts will start again so for 15 years or so. delta wouldnt be a bad job the the next couple of years

Thus making it no sense to get started with your "career" with Delta. Why go work for a company knowing you may only be around for a few years. If I want a job, I want one with longevity. Not one that's known for having financial troubles every 3-4 years. Later, QD.

The trouble is that this is the future in a lot of jobs. I've been at the Big D for 22 years. Good times and bad. I've seen union mining jobs back home turn to shit. Sales and Home Mortgage companies have their good times and bad.
If I was young I'd throw bags in the morning and go school at night. Take a free flight once in awhile, have some fun.
There's no 100% guarantee out there, Just plan ahead, save some $$ for the bad years and find a wife that works in the medical field :eek:

if ur not looking for a job why post QD if you have a job and like it shut up. no one said come work here forever. some people have bills to pay an need a job asap. well this is the place to apply. any who knows delta may or may not go in to bankrupcy again but name me one airline that hasnt. The job is easy pay is good if you start young. you can work as much overtime as you want. there are some people here making over 60k a year and for someone under the age of 30 to make that much a year is great. if you want more go apply to mcdonalds or walmart im sure you will have a great career there.

I'd like to know how you can refer someone for a job when you know have no idea how their work ethic is. I personaly would never put my name out there for someone else to use for this type of thing unless I knew without a doubt they were people of their word and they worked hard. Posting for referals in an internet fourm is completely blowing my mind. But free bump none the less.

and delta will be out of bankrupcy i thing in june, delta is going way up, to get out of the backrupcy in about a year. thats awsome. delta is going to be a new delta, more positive additudes, and is just going to be a great place to work now and in the future. they are already giving raises and top out pay. delta will be the most top paid airline for their employees. delta is getting back on there feet very quick and fast and from here on out it will be the best airline to work for. i been here for 7 years and from the beginning of this year has been the best out of 7 years. better additudes, more pay, going to be the number 1 airline again, and going to be the highest paid. so there is no risk of working at delta now. its building itself back up and i dont thing that it will get any lower than it was. its going to get better and better as the years go by.


and they are alot of postions that are going to be opening. if anyone needs help let me know. i know a few high people that can get u in.

Well... I was looking for something permanent like that. And at my age getting a corporate job isn't that easy. I know that Delta excepts ppl over 18 with good resume and lang. skills so... Im 20... so if any1 knows any good paying jobs holla.

both my parents work for Delta and it is a great company to work for, even after the bankruptcy. They gave all their employee's bonus's as the company began to build back up...

just saw on the news that they are out of bankruptcy at 10 am april 30, 07. some bank decided to finance them.
