Well, I was watchin this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ry6Cf4EHI0#3auM-0GBVCo

And well, I was thinking to myself, BIG wings are ricery right? Well, what if the big wing actually served a purpose like in a wide body RX-7 that needs downforce in the rear...is that still considered ricer?

So I guess the question is, if the big wing serves a purpose...is it ricery?

No. If it's daily driven then forget it. But if your taking it on the track and what not get it. Trust me you will be ridiculed for having a wing when your just daily driving that thing. If it's a race car or a drift car yes but if you car is a civic who measly breaks 120 dont even think about it.

Lol, well that's what I meant though. I mean i know if it's on a civic that doesn't make any sense than yeah you're a ricer. But what if it was on your daily driven car that is also used for drift and track....iuno just a lot of thought I been having. Cause if my car actually needed downforce in the back and it was a daily driven car...I don't see anything wrong with it but I was wondering what other people thought, not that I really care I just wanted to see people's mindsets on wings.

i'm thinking low-profile APR carbon wing would be ok ;)

ya really big wings work the best autocrossing, not really road racing at really high speeds but also depends on the car.

spoilers do just that, spoil the clean lines of the car....

big spoilers are rather pointless are they not? look at spoilers are cars like a viper, vette, audi tt, it's not even a spoiler really, just a lip that comes off the trunk. and that seems to do the job

well depending on what kinda car you got and what kind of racing your doing will determine what kinda downforce you need so sometimes you may need it but like they said before if you just riding around in a civic or integra everyday you don't need to waste your money.
