im new on here and i was curious if i should swap a k20 type r motor into my del sol, or keep the b18c thats already in there? i want to build a nice all motor setup, not tryin 2 be the fastest just have a nice fun car. and i can get the full swap 4 4200 so is it worth it or should i build the b18 thats already in the car?

build the B, unless your balling out of control then do the K.
all you need is ITR cams, a decent header and tuning an you can get 175whp

correct me if I'm wrong, but with the money you would spend on a k20a swap w/ k-pro and bolt ons, you could invest in the b18c and have a pretty nice setup.

your right about that but then i would pretty much be maxed out, but with the k i could always do a full build l8er or do k24 block built?

This reminds me of the 90s when people were arguing D or B. LOL. At that time built/spray Ds were waxing B series ASS!! And I know this b/c I was spraying Ds - LOL. Build what you want - but I say stick w/ the B series.

IMO it would be easier to get 250whp in a N/A K then it would be a B series. If you sell your GSR and other little shit that you ain't using it won't be that hard on your wallet to do a K.

exactly what i want would take a full build on the b, but the k would be a bolt on affair, plus im planning a trip 2 cali this summer so i think the 6 speed would b nice

My K20a2 made 202whp with just a 1/2 hour of fuel tuning from chunky. Thats the CHEAPEST swap header that you could buy, a 6" long intake at best, 3" exhaust. The car never made below 115ft lbs at any rpm on the dyno, including 2500 and 3k rpm area.
If its all motor and you are serious about power the answer is obvious. A 2.4 build is WAY overkill for any honda on the street thats from 00 or older. The gross amounts of torque will probably make you run slower.
