I know they're are some gyms located on the northside but that's to far of a drive for me to make. Does anyone know of any good ones on the southside? I live in Henry County so the closer the better :goodjob:

Eric, I think they do some at the Golds Gym over off of 20/81. I have a friend who trains there, I ask him and find out for you.

Ok, here's the deal. My buddy said a guy at Gold's Gym named Byron Stone teaches MMA for pretty cheap...like $80/month if he remembers correctly. Although he has never trained with the guy, he said that some friends of his had, and didn't like the way he taught.

He said if you dont mind a little drive then check out www.alliancebjj.com. They have two locations, but the closest one to you would be the one near turner field. There is a trainer there named Roberto Traven, and he says that you will get much better training from him than you would from the guy at GG.

Hope this helps.

thanks man. Yeah I heard about the GG's in Eagles Landing teaching BJJ. Turner field is a pretty good drive though. If that's my closest I might have to check them out. Thanks again.

any other gyms people recommend? I already know Tae Kwon Do so I'm not looking for any places that teach that.

there's an Alliance Gym in Atlanta, one in Roswell too.. it's worth the drive, the leading school in BJJ put out the world and abu dhabi champions for the past 6 or so years, they also have an extremely good Muay Thai Program.
