Ok ppl i have a bad ass single cam d16z6 that i just build and droped in to my ef. Now the swap is down and every thing is working but i keep getting this check engine light. And seeing as how my compresion is 12 to 1 i dont think that im getting enough fuel. So my guess is that im runing lean. I have tried wireing an air fuel ratio gague but it wont work . Ether that or im just runing lean as fuck bc it will only read to red lights and no more (meaning lean on the gague). I have set my fuel pressure regulator and my vafc to max settings for the car. But it still runs like ether it needs gas or something. I dont know wat to do wat would u do if u had an engine that had 12 to 1 compresion.:???:

1) AUtometer A/F gauges are shit, dont bother using them
2) Turn you AFC to 0, reset all the settings back to STOCK so ZERO across the board
3) Put a FACTORY Fuel Pressure Regulator on the car.
4) Check the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and see what code it is throwing. A honda ecu wont throw any CEL for "running lean" or running "rich"

report back after you have figured out what Check Engine light code your throwing

i am throwing code 1 and code 9. And i just had a prob wit the oil leaking into my spark plug hole of the number 4 slot but i fixed that and the car now sounds like its runing on three cilinders and it feels that way.. ive checked my injectors and they all work i got new spark plugs and a new rotor button but it still runs like shit what do u suggest i do

high compression on stock ecu it's running too lean.

you'll sometimes get an o2 code for too rich/too lean conditions.

an afc might allow you to get extra fuel at idle or low throttle positions, but at wot it won't and will more than likely trip a map code because positive corrections will only increase the map voltage when there is no corresponding portion of a fuel or timing map on a stock ecu beyond 0.2 psi (basically 0in/hg).

socketed/chipped ecu, larger inj, and dyno tuning sounds like what you need.

if you're trying to keep using the afc drop some 310 or 370cc inj.

running on 3 cyl could be way too lean and it running poorly, your cyl pos sensor/dist could have gone bad, or you could have toasted a piston from running too lean.

hope that helps.

i have tried the 310 injectors but no help... ive just done a compresion test and ive gotton 270 235 180 235 ... stock single cams are atleast 185 .... so i poped off the head to see if i had a pent or broken valve or a messed up piston... after i poped it off i found some coolent in the cylenders but it could be the fact that i forgot to drian the coolent b4 hand but ima check my valves tomorrow but so far thats all i can see
