MS Awareness Week begins March 5, and with it the beginning of a whole new movement by and for people with MS.
We are asking that you show your support for the MS movement by adding an html button to your myspace page/ facebook/sig/ etc page and passing it on to others you think should also join the movement.
You can choose your button by visiting www.nationalmssociety.org/buttons . All necessary code is provided there. And to also help educate yourselves on this disease. Remember, it can happen to YOU at any time for absolutely no reason.
People with MS understand something that others don’t – that moving isn’t always a guarantee. Help us to give that guarantee back and move us towards a world free of MS.
Please make this a sticky. :goodjob:

My aunt has MS. It's a very frustrating thing as it is still not fully understood and there are so many different symptoms and different parts of the body that it can affect.

Yeah, my mom was diagnosed with it not too long ago, but apparently had it for much longer then we knew....she was actaully Mis-diagnosed with Fibromialgia (sp?) for about 7 years before her doctors realized what exactly it was...i hope to god she never has to use a wheel chair.
Yeah, my aunt was an extremely good athlete and now she has to use a motorized wheel chair everywhere she goes. Her legs just don't do what her brain tells them to do. She was diagnosed about fifteen years ago. It's a difficult thing to watch happen to someone.

well thats what my mom was diagnosed with for forever! like since i was in middle school even....turns out those were all just symptoms of MS....i hope to god her mom is luckier then that. Besides MS, fibromialgia is a SOB! the pain is horrible.....She's got to be a strong woman to wake up everyday to that and still stay possitive. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy

Yes, I totally didn't recognize what was going on when I stepped foot into their offices today. I am one of the IT Techs that works for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society GA Chapter. Great group of people and yes, please support MS Awareness Week!
