For a car with an MSRP well over a million bucks, we assumed that when hydroplaning is detected the car would immediately enter hovercraft mode, but we now know that's not the case. :lmao: :lmao:

Yes, it is indeed German.

So how do you determine it's nationality? It's built in France.

Bugatti was an Italian and French company and it's successor company is owned by VW... but it certainly isn't built in Germany. Yes, VW is in charge but what part really matters?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron

(I have the same arguement with my car. It's owned by a German company but built in England... so what is it?)

Guess it's the same with all the "japanese" cars that are built in the US as well. Is it who designed it, who made the parts, or where it was actually made?

It's designed by German engineers, just as Lamborghinis are. That's what really matters, not where it's assembled. Are you going to tell me that some Jettas are Mexican cars, because they have a Jetta plant there?

Saw your edit to your post, and I think it's all down to the designer, but that's just me. :goodjob:

I think it's a euro-mutt.

And I want one.

And no, I'm not arguing... I'm discussing. I'll have to ask some of the French people I work with if they think Bugatti's are now German cars and see if they get all pissed off :lmfao:

My car is a mutt too... yes, it's designed by Germans but it wouldn't have existed without it's British heritage. :dunno:

LOL, I agree. Mutts are becoming an automotive marketing trend, for some reason. VW just needs to stop buying up foreign companies.

If I spent that much for it - then I would drive it. Cars are made to be driven - not looked at like they are a movie. LOL. Not to mention - if u can afford 1 Bugatti, then you can afford 2. And if not, you DEF can afford the insurance.
