I can't remember who PM'd about saying they could help my car out on passing emissions. If you or someone you know can do it PM me their name. Don't post in here. They may not want their names public.

Thanks. I've been trying to pass since Jan. 25th...and I'm giving up after spending 300$ in crap trying to pass it... Better luck next year. :lmfao:

Oh, I know, I live in Cherokee, but the car is under my dad's name...and thats' in Cobb County...one of the very outer limits of the emissions-neccessary areas...

What year is it?

Car is a 91. Originally had an OBD0 D15 SOHC DPFI motor in it. It was swapped, so it now has a 93 OBD1 PR4 DOHC motor in it...

Why won't it pass emissions? Just weld up a 3 cat exhaust and swap it out after the test.

I wish Ic ould tell you why it's not passing...but I don't know, yet.

Isn't an emissions test down here for pre obdII cars just a sniffer, gas cap, and visual inspection???

Yup. Too much HC and CO.

Is it running rich????

Yes, sir. But fuel pressure is accurate, timing is accurate, new cat, new o2, new plugs, new wires, 2nd dizzy (not new, though)...injectors are firing, and ECU = no codes. WTF?

Hows your compression?

Maybe the maf is bad. Like I said throw a few extra cats on there and you should pass.

Where is that MAF located?

koukis14

Mass air flow sensor. Between the air filter and the throttle body.

Someone who knows more about hondas wanna chime in here. Does his motor have a manifold absolute pressure sensor. If you have a mass air flow sensor setup it should be a big round black thing inline with you intake system hat has a plug in it.

I'm on MAP. I've never seen anything that indicated being a MAF.

if i am not mistaking it's one of the snesores that pugs into you intake manifold right below where the intake piping connects

Only sensors I can think of off the top of my head...or rather, electrical plugs is the IACV, and the air intake temp...

I think this weekend, because I have a 93 Integra sitting in my garage with the same motor, I'll just pull the MAP sensors off the fire wall, put them in the civic and just see what it does...

try that it might work lol dunno .. if i could see it would help lol cause i'm rly just going offof what my motor looks like in comparison to what i think your motor looks like

What do you have inside what car?

AnthonyF

get an OBD-II car, not system. When you get a new car, do whatever the hell you want to it, get the computer flashed saying everything is tip-top and your set. thats what i did, but i also live in jackson county. yea-uh!

...asshat

OBDI is just better for tuning and such, I've heard. I hate the fucking sniffer...

Probably gonna go down early friday morning and rip out the MAP sensor off the integra I've got down there and put it on the civic, also the IACV, and air temp sensor. I'm looking for someone that may have an OBD1 PR4 virgin ECU I might can borrow for the next emissions go-round...just to see...
